About

1 Corinthians 3:16-17    Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s spirit dwells in you?  Philippians 4:8    If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him.  For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.

  1. I cannot for the life of me whistle – unless I put my fingers in my mouth and that’s just not the same, except at football games.
  2. I used to hate coffee and wine – until I met Erich, my husband. Now I love coffee and wine, but not as much as I love Erich!
  3. I love reading my Bible every day. If you want to know how to fall in love with Jesus, read your Bible. Keep reading even if you don’t understand it at first. It will happen and it will be more real than anything else in your life.
  4. I am adopting a baby girl from China and have been waiting all my life for her. Ok, we started the process in November of 2005 and are still waiting!
  5. I love being Sami’s Mom and one of her priorities in life. She is my beautiful and adoring Yorkie. She brings joy to my heart.
  6. My husband truly is the best in the world! Truly. Serving him is my passion. I am a blessed and happy wife.
  7. My Mom is the greatest Mom in the world. I would be lost without her. Even though I am an adult in my 40’s, she still gives me wise direction.
  8. My nails are long and strong naturally but I never paint them. I love them being painted, but who has time to let that paint dry – and it starts chipping within 24 hours.
  9. I love to sing, but my husband prefers me not to. 🙂
  10. I have a dream to one day go to Africa. Not to just visit the beautiful continent, but to visit and love the people who are in need of everything. They live in my heart and I pray that I can serve them in person one day.
  11. I love birds. I love to hear them sing. I can sit and watch them for hours and just be amazed. My favorites include the Hummingbird, Cardinal and Mourning Dove. I love to look for hawks and Eagles when I can. My husband and I also go owl hooting on occasion.
  12. I don’t have a single favorite of anything. But I have many favorites.
  13. My husband works hard to earn money. I try very hard not to waste it. Come to think of it, I hate wasting anything – especially time. We really don’t have that much time in our earthly life. Therefore, I really want to spend my time wisely every day. Not that I do, but I want to.
  14. I have a teenaged stepdaughter named Emma. She is so much like her father in most ways. My heart’s desire for her is to intimately know and love God and to live serving Him.
  15. I am a morning person and a talking person. I am not a night person. But the talking person overrules the night person. I can stay up very, very late as long as I am talking. Let me know whenever you want to talk.
  16. At the age of 41, I just started flossing my teeth every day. It really does not take that long and can be done. It’s just a matter of habit and I am so glad I finally established this good habit.
  17. I love reading recipes and can spend hours doing so. I have to be careful here about wasting time as it goes by so quickly.
  18. The books that I own feel like treasures to me. One of my favorites is my 1828 Noah Webster’s Dictionary. I recommend that every family have one. Our language today has lost so much of its original meaning.
  19. I hate stupid and senseless humor. It aggravates me and I cannot understand why people think it is so funny. Really, I totally lack this understanding. I guess you could say I am a very serious person. But I do have a silly side too and rather love the “real life humor”.
  20. I am not a girl who loves to shop. I would prefer that beautiful outfits that fit me just magically appear in my closet.
  21. I love good sales! If it is not on sale, don’t buy it. And better yet, buy it on sale, plus have an additional percent off coupon. How fun is that!
  22. One of my life mottos is that anything is easy once you learn it.
  23. I love power walking and I don’t care if you think it looks funny when I am swinging my arms.
  24. Why do we spend time and money on wrapping gifts and buying cards that are opened and thrown away so quickly? I would prefer that you write something to me from your heart. Gift-wrapping is pretty, but it is a joy for a single moment that costs too much money and in my opinion is wasteful.
  25. A good hair day is just that – a great day! A woman’s hair is her crown of glory.
